Location: Northwest Drive & Orlando Drive, Mississauga, ON

Position: Crate Builder

Pay: $19.50/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Industry: Roofing / Metal Manufacturing

Experience Required: 2–3 years of relevant Canadian experience


We're Hiring Experienced Crate Builders


LeadOn Staffing is looking for an experienced Crate Builder to join the production team of an established roofing and metal manufacturing company in Mississauga.


This is a hands-on manufacturing position involving the measurement, construction, and assembly of custom wooden crates used for safely packaging and transporting products.


If you have previous crate-building or similar manufacturing experience and are comfortable using staple guns, nail guns, and measuring tools, we'd love to hear from you.


What You'll Be Doing

As a Crate Builder, your responsibilities may include:

  • Measuring materials accurately using measuring tapes and other tools

  • Building custom crates according to required dimensions and specifications

  • Cutting and positioning materials for crate construction

  • Using staple guns and nail guns to assemble crates

  • Ensuring crates are properly secured and structurally sound

  • Preparing finished crates for packaging and shipment

  • Handling and moving materials safely

  • Lifting materials weighing approximately 40–50 lbs

  • Maintaining a clean and organized production area

  • Following workplace health and safety procedures

  • Performing other manufacturing and production duties as required


What We're Looking For

  • 2–3 years of relevant Crate Builder experience in Canada

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Hands-on experience building crates or similar wooden structures

  • Comfortable using measuring tapes

  • Experience using staple guns and nail guns

  • Ability to accurately follow measurements and specifications

  • Comfortable lifting up to approximately 50 lbs

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious


Immigration Eligibility

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and have one of the following:

  • Valid Work Permit

  • Permanent Residency

  • Canadian Citizenship


Additional Requirements

  • Full-time availability

  • Monday to Friday availability

  • Ability to work 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Candidates living close to the Mississauga location are preferred

  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license are preferred

  • Must be available for client interview, hands-on skill assessment, and potential immediate start

  • CSA-approved safety shoes and safety mask are required
