- Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:15 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Crater / Shipper Receiver to join a warehouse team. The primary responsibility of this role is to build wooden crates from scratch for the safe packaging and transportation of window products. The successful candidate will also assist with shipping and receiving operations, material handling, and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
Crate Building (Primary Duties)
- Build wooden crates from scratch according to product dimensions and packaging requirements.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and secure wooden materials to construct protective crates.
- Use basic hand and power tools for cutting, fastening, and assembling wood.
- Ensure crates are sturdy and properly constructed to prevent product damage during transportation.
- Safely package and secure window products inside wooden crates.
Shipping & Receiving (Supporting Duties)
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure products are properly packaged.
- Load and unload materials and products as required.
- Label, sort, and organize shipments.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in carpentry, woodworking, crate building, or general warehouse operations is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble wooden materials.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
- Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with physical work.
