Forklift Operator
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, store, and organize products while maintaining accuracy and following all workplace health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, including Reach Truck, Counterbalance, and Order Picker, as required.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Move, stack, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Receive and inspect incoming products for quantity and condition.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Pick and put away products according to warehouse procedures.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory movements.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any equipment issues.
- Ensure products are properly stored, stacked, and secured.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification for Reach Truck and/or Counterbalance.
- Order Picker and Fall Arrest certification is an asset or required based on operational needs.
- Experience using RF scanners is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
