Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our client's warehouse team in Stoney Creek. The successful candidate will assist with receiving, organizing, picking, packing, and shipping a variety of wine-making and food-service supplies.

This is a hands-on warehouse position involving regular lifting, moving, packing, and handling of products, including glass bottles and other fragile materials. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming products and materials.
• Pick products accurately according to customer orders and picking lists.
• Pack orders carefully using appropriate boxes and protective packaging materials.
• Handle glass bottles and other fragile products carefully to prevent damage and breakage.
• Label and prepare completed orders for shipment or customer pickup.
• Build, organize, and secure pallets for outgoing shipments.
• Assist with shrink-wrapping and preparing pallets for transportation.
• Load finished orders onto trucks and delivery vehicles as required.
• Move and organize inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Replenish stock and maintain organized storage areas.
• Assist with inventory counting and identifying damaged or missing products.
• Keep aisles, work areas, and storage locations clean and organized.
• Remove empty boxes, packaging materials, and general warehouse waste.
• Follow proper lifting and material-handling procedures.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general labour, warehouse, shipping/receiving, order picking, or packing is an asset.
• Ability to lift and move products safely.
• Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when picking and packing orders.
• Ability to handle fragile products carefully.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience with palletizing, shrink-wrapping, or warehouse equipment is an asset.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift upto 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move products throughout the warehouse.
• Ability to safely handle boxes and fragile glass products.
