Lead Shipper

Position: Lead Shipper
Location: Etobicoke
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $26.30/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
• Lead and support shipping team members and delegate tasks as required.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift and tow motor to move, stage, and load finished goods.
• Handle long products and pick up products without skids or pallets safely.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and inventory records.
• Use computer systems for finished goods transactions, job costing, and inventory inquiries.
• Enforce health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Six to twelve months of related experience or equivalent.
• Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience; corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Valid counterbalance forklift certification and experience operating a tow motor.
• Experience handling products without skids and using long forklift forks is an asset.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
