Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and hardworking Warehouse Associate / Counterbalance Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, preparing, and shipping customer orders while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate has counterbalance forklift certification, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment using warehouse devices and WMS (Warehouse Management System) software.
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with workplace safety procedures.
- Load, unload, move, and organize products and materials within the warehouse.
- Lift and handle products weighing approximately 50–70 lbs.
- Shrink-wrap pallets and prepare products for safe transportation.
- Label, tape, and properly package shipments.
- Perform physical inventory counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate product placement and warehouse organization.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Follow all company policies, warehouse procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team while completing assigned tasks independently.
- Multitask, prioritize daily responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
- Maintain a positive, professional, respectful, and helpful attitude toward coworkers, customers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certification required.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or fulfillment experience is an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and move 50–70 lbs.
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Basic ability to use handheld warehouse devices, scanners, and WMS software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity expectations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and effectively manage time.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
