LeadOn Staffing is hiring an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator for a major Canadian distributor and manufacturer of raw panel products, wood veneer, and sheet goods in Bolton.
This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced forklift operator who is confident handling materials in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment and understands the importance of safe, accurate, and efficient material movement.
The successful candidate will complete an initial training period before transitioning into the permanent night shift, making this an excellent opportunity for someone specifically looking for stable overnight work.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Counterbalance Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse and production environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift to move raw materials and finished products
Loading and unloading trucks while protecting products from damage
Transporting materials between warehouse, production, and designated storage areas
Stacking and organizing materials safely in designated locations
Performing daily pre-operation forklift inspections
Reporting equipment defects, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards promptly
Maintaining accurate movement and placement of inventory
Following established warehouse and material-handling procedures
Supporting general warehouse activities as required
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Following all company health and safety policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift License - Mandatory
5+ years of hands-on Counterbalance Forklift experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Experience working in a wood manufacturing or wood products environment is a strong asset
Strong understanding of forklift and warehouse safety practices
Good spatial awareness and material-handling skills
Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs when required
Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to safety and product handling
Shift & Pay Structure
Training Period
Morning/Day Shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM/3:00 PM to 11:00 PM)
$22.00/hour
Candidates must be available to complete the required training period before transitioning to the regular night shift.
Regular Schedule
Monday to Friday
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
$23.00/hour
Important: The long-term schedule is the permanent night shift. Candidates must be comfortable working overnight hours.
Transportation Requirement
The work location is in Bolton, where public transportation options are limited.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to consistently commute to and from work, particularly for the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift.
Physical & Work Environment
This is an active warehouse and manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable with:
Operating a forklift for extended periods
Loading and unloading materials
Moving and organizing products
Standing, walking, and performing warehouse duties
Lifting up to 50 lbs when required
Working around active warehouse and production operations
Following safety procedures in a material-handling environment
$23.00/hour on the regular night shift
Monday to Friday schedule
Stable overnight work
Paid training period at $22.00/hour

Before You Apply
