Sewing Machine Operator

Job Overview

We are currently hiring experienced Industrial Sewing Operators for a garment manufacturing facility in Markham. The successful candidates must have previous garment factory sewing experience and be able to operate industrial sewing machines independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines, including:
  • Single Needle
  • Serger / Overlock
  • Flatlock
• Sew and assemble garments such as down jackets and hockey jerseys.
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
• Meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Inspect finished garments for defects and ensure proper stitching and finishing.
• Follow workplace safety and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Job Requirements

• Garment factory sewing experience is REQUIRED.
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines independently.
• Experience with single needle machines is preferred.
• Experience with outerwear/down jackets is an asset.
• Reliable and punctual with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work Monday to Saturday.
• Must successfully complete a simple on-site sewing test.
• Previous experience with industrial sewing machines is required.
